Celebrate New Year's With Dinner, Music
Be one of the first to toast the New Year at American Legion Post 148's New Year's celebration from 7 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday.
The jazz band Take Note will perform a variety of selections and dance music. The post is at 7240 U.S. 301 S. in Riverview. Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple.

A Woodwind Concert Worth Witnessing
Armand and Angelina will perform an American Indian flute concert at 10 a.m. Sunday at the United Community of Joy, 935 North Course Lane, Sun City Center.
A "play-shop," which is like a workshop, will follow the concert from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The play-shop will allow those interested a chance to try the flutes and see how easy they are to play. A $20 donation is requested for the "play-shop."

Polish Your Dancing Shoes
The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a New Year's Eve dinner-dance at 8 p.m. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, 106 11th Ave. N.E., Ruskin.

Toast New Year At Noon
Celebrate the New Year family-style at the Lowry Park Zoo's annual one-of-a-kind "Noon" Year's Eve event from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday with games, arts and crafts, live entertainment, educational displays and a juice toast at noon.

'Suitcase Posse' Promises Laughs
Jeff Dunham brings his socially reckless "suitcase posse" to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's Carol Morsani Hall, 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place, at 9 p.m. Monday.
Ventriloquist Dunham's comedic skills allow him to breathe life into an elderly curmudgeon or a purple human-like creature.

A New Year's Eve dinner is available in Maestro's Restaurant before the show for $55; a party with food and cash bar follows the performance for $35.

Spends Some Fins At Aqua-Eve
Splash in the new year from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, by celebrating Aqua-Eve.
There will be entertainment, food, beer and wine, and a champagne toast for the midnight fireworks display.

At The Zoo, It's A Wild Wonderland
Lowry Park Zoo's eighth annual Wild Wonderland continues from 6 to 9 p.m. today through Sunday at the zoo, 1101 W. Sligh Ave.
The zoo closes at 5 p.m. daily and reopens for the festival, which includes light, poinsettia and animatronic displays.
Admission is $13 for ages 12 and older, $11 for ages 3 to 11 and free for others. Zoo members receive discounts. For information, visit www.lowry parkzoo.com.
