Be Alert For Intermittent Lane Closures

Intermittent lane closures may occur on the following South Hillsborough roads for construction crew safety:

•In Apollo Beach, TECO workers may close the eastbound lane of Leisey Road between U.S. 41 and Golf and Sea Boulevard to replace power poles Thursday and Friday.

•In Gibsonton, the southbound lane of Pine Street between Symmes Road and Missouri Avenue may be closed for electrical utility maintenance from time to time through Friday.

•In Ruskin, the southbound lane of West Shell Point Road from 32nd Street Northwest to Shell Point's dead end may be closed Thursday and Friday to allow Tampa Electric Co. to install a transformer. The southbound lane of Sixth Street Southeast between 10th Avenue Southeast and 14th Avenue Southeast may be closed for power pole installation between Jan. 3 and Jan. 11.

•In Sun City, workers will start a yearlong project to install fiber-optic cable in the Bluffs at Riverside area. Work is expected to take place along the following roads: U.S. 41, Paramount Place, Pickford Avenue, Lloyd Drive, Compson Circle, Petrova Circle, Universal Drive, Metro Drive, Chaplin Drive, Nazimova Avenue, Caron Drive, Studio Boulevard and Clarissa Avenue. The permit is good until Dec. 26, 2008.

•In Wimauma, TECO will be installing power poles along West Lake Drive between Vel and Edina streets Thursday and Friday. The southbound lane may be affected.
