Road Detours Ahead

RIVERVIEW - Some Tropical Acres residents and visitors may have to choose a different path for a few days while work crews replace part of a stormwater drainage system.

Hillsborough County officials have authorized closing Fawn Dale Drive at its intersection with Sweet Fern Drive on Jan. 7-10.
Fawn Dale stretches east off McMullen Road. Motorists can avoid the blocked area by heading north off Fawn Dale on Stanwood Drive, then east on Glenhill Drive. Or they can turn south off Fawn Dale on Adeline or Belrose drive, then continue east on Bay Tree Drive to get to Sweet Fern.
County officials also have approved temporary interruptions to southbound motorists on Fourth Street in Wimauma. The lane may be closed between State Road 574 and Camp Street Thursday through Jan. 11 to allow Tampa Electric Co. crews to install power poles.
