Celebrating, Honoring Our Veterans
In honor of Veterans Day, United Community Church, 1501 La Jolla Ave., Sun City Center will sponsor a free concert at 7:30 p.m. today featuring music by The Fiddlers. Call (813) 634-1304.

'The Magic Of Soul' Hits The Fairgrounds

The UniverSoul Circus is performing "The Magic of Soul" today through Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

The show features flying trapeze artists, bicycle daredevils, aerial gymnastics and contortionists.

Show times are: 4 and 7:30 p.m. today; 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; noon, 4:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday; and 1:30, 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices vary by day and time. Making Sure It's Tidy, Clean, Respectful

Hackney Cemetery, at Hackney Drive and Providence Road in Riverview, will get its annual cleaning starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. Organizers are asking that participants bring rakes, hoes, edgers, gloves and trash bags. Call Florence Sikes, (813) 677-7606.
Personal Packages For The Troops
American Legion Post 148 at 7240 U.S. 301 S., Riverview, is hosting Operation - We Care at 1 p.m. Saturday. The post will be the staging area for the collection of personal care items, socks and "goodies."

Donations for putting together packages for troops who will be spending their holidays in Iraq or Afghanistan will also be accepted. A list of authorized items is available at the post. Items may be dropped off at the post at any time through Saturday. Call (813) 677-6529.

Brush Up On Those Harry Potter Books Harry Potter trivia experts are invited to compete in the Harry Potter and the Library Cup Tournament on Saturday at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin.

Compete in the team challenge at 2 p.m. or the family challenge at 4. For those confident enough to go it alone, there is an individual challenge as well. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded. Register at the library or by calling Bill or Leah at (813) 672-1155.

The questions will cover all books in the series, so you had better start reading.

A Ceremony Worthy Of Our Veterans

The military veteran organizations of Sun City Center will sponsor a Veterans Day event Monday. The program will start at 10 a.m. at the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd.

The guest speaker will be Cmdr. Peter Bernardi of U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base. A musical interlude will be presented by the Trinity Singers. Call Blaine Brown, (813) 633-5671.

Uncork Some Fine Wine For CARE

Payant Financial Services, 1653 Sun City Center Plaza, Sun City Center, will host a wine tasting benefit for Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15.
