The SouthShore Regional Library recently commemorated its first anniversary with a daylong celebration that included a student art contest; cartooning class for children; a Ruskin history lesson by Fred Jacobsen, Mac Miller and Mark Dunn; piano performances by Manuel Escadero; the Front Porch Pickers; and a Harry Potter trivia contest.
Opened in October 2006 at a cost of $10,138,000, the SouthShore Regional Library covers 40,000 square feet and is the largest library branch in Hillsborough County.
