Watch Out For Lane Closures

Hillsborough County officials have approved permits for construction work that will temporarily block lanes on the following roads:

•In the Gibsonton area, Tampa Electric Co. crews may close the northbound lane of Lincoln Road between Big Bend and Mallard Farm roads through Friday to install power equipment.

Also, the eastbound lane of Symmes Road between East Bay Road and U.S. 41 may be blocked from Monday through Feb. 26 so workers can build sidewalks and install a water main.

•In Apollo Beach, Tampa Electric Co. may close the northbound lane of Rubia Circle starting at Malaga Drive through Friday to upgrade a transformer.

•In Ruskin, work crews may close the westbound lane of 11th Avenue Northeast between 15th Street Northeast and 18th Street Southeast to repair a guardrail. The project may last through Dec. 28.
