GIBSONTON - The East Bay Indians varsity football team is hoping for some good luck in head coach Brian Thornton's 13th year at the school.
The Indians opened the season with a 24-7 win over crosstown rival Riverview High School. But their record fell to 2-3 after a 31-0 loss to Chamberlain on Friday in Tampa.
Standouts on the team this year include senior quarterback Rex Ballenger, senior running back Ryan Stubbs and junior running back Chaz Burrows.
The team will close its regular season Nov. 9 when it hosts Ruskin's Lennard High School.
