Tampa Electric Co. is replacing power poles along several streets in south Hillsborough County. To give crews room to work, county officials have approved the following permits to block lanes temporarily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through Friday.

• Lincoln Road, south of Cowley Road, Riverview. The northbound lane is authorized to be closed intermittently.

• Nundy Avenue, just east of Richmond Street, Gibsonton. The eastbound lane could be closed from time to time.

• 30th Avenue Southeast, between 24th and 27th avenues, Ruskin. The northbound lane could be closed.

• Valroy Road, between U.S. 41 and G-Seven Ranch Road, south of Sun City. Crews may close the eastbound lane.

16th Avenue Southwest, from Saffold Park Drive to Seventh Street Southwest, south of Wimauma. Work will affect the eastbound lane.

The county also has approved lane closures on Big Bend Road between U.S. 41 and Interstate 75 near Apollo Beach to allow repairs to the railroad crossing there. Work crews are permitted to close alternating lanes between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. starting Sunday and continuing through Oct. 20.

For information about these lane closures, call (813) 272-5275.
