Learn About Animals
The Tampa Bay Sierra Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Children's Board Building, 1002 E. Palm Ave., Ybor City.
Larry Connor of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will talk about some of the exotic animal species living in our state. This includes several exotics found in Tampa Bay, such as the island applesnail and Argentine black-and-white tegu.
There have been around 230 species of exotic birds reported over the past several decades. More than 90 species of freshwater fish, 50 species of reptiles and 30 species of mammals have also been reported.

Stroll To Save Lives
Stride for Strays, a pet walk that benefits the Animal Coalition of Tampa, will take place 9 a.m. to noon at Al Lopez Park, 4900 N. Himes Ave., Tampa.
Bring your dogs and children.
The event will feature rock 'n' roll by the Johnny G. Lyons Band, demonstrations, contests and animal-related goods and services. Rescue groups will showcase animals available for adoption.
Stride for Strays is the annual major fundraiser for the coalition's low-cost spay/neuter clinic at 1719 W. Lemon St., Tampa. Boo At The Zoo
Celebrate Halloween at Lowry Park's annual Zoo-Boo. Enter if you dare - haunted houses, spooky trails, zoo-wide light displays, chilling animal shows and more. It's guaranteed to tingle the spine and turn up the goose bumps.
This is a popular family event, and all rides are free with your paid admission. Ticket prices are: ages 12 to 59, $16.95; 60 and up, $15.95; 3 to 11, $12.50; 2 and under are free. Children under age 12 are encouraged to wear their most spook-tacular attire.

Free Singing Lessons
Here's your chance to get free vocal instruction from a certified instructor.
Meg Mahoney, the director of the South Shore Sound Chapter of Sweet Adelines International, is offering lessons to females ages 14 and up as a service to the community.
Beginning Monday and continuing for the next three weeks, the two-hour lessons are at 6:15 p.m. in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. W., Sun City Center.
