SUN CITY CENTER - The Sun City Center Woman's Club will host its annual Country Western Dinner Dance from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd.
'Grab your hats, your boots and start dancing!' said MaryLouise Baker, club publicist.
Southern Tied Band will provide the tunes to get the boots scooting, and dinner by Jimbo's Pit Bar-B-Q of Tampa will get the jaws chomping. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. there will be free line-dance lessons; dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; dancing will follow from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
'We have tables for groups and singles,' said Baker, 'so, gals, come on down!'
This is one of the club's two main yearly fundraisers (the other one this year will be The Best of Burlesque, 2008 Edition, on Feb. 9) for their philanthropic causes.
'Our members work diligently to put on these events,' Baker said. 'Our members here are retired from work, but not from serving our community.'
For instance, 'recently club President Jan Bassett met with Community Director Paul Wheat and John Bowker of the Historical Society of Sun City Center to give them a check for $500,' Baker said.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $20 per person and can be purchased between 9 a.m. and noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Atrium kiosk, 945 North Course Lane.

Holiday Home Tour Tickets On Sale
BRANDON - The Brandon Service League will present its 15th annual Holiday Home Tour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8.
Tickets, $12 per person, will go on sale Monday, and will include refreshments and entrance to the homes of Allen and Lynn Despain, Raymond and Patty Conrad and Wally and Claudia Ingram.
The Despains have a Noah's Ark room and a kitchen with an upside-down Christmas tree - 10 themed Christmas trees in all.
The Ingrams' house reflects generations of military service with collections from travels around the world. Christmas trees are in every room; the dining room boasts a White House ornament tree.
The Conrads' 9,300-square-foot home sits in the middle of 53 country acres. The family room fireplace mantel replicates one at the Biltmore estate, and a 'Thanksgiving with the Conrads' cookbook in the kitchen tells the family history.
One house will serve refreshments, another will hold a holiday boutique and the third a sale of homemade goods that have been wrapped or placed in festive baskets and tins for gift giving.
'The home tour has become a tradition for many families each year,' said league President Rosemary Zameroski. 'Not only is the price a great value for a memorable holiday experience, but you are donating to a very worthy cause as well.'
Fundraisers such as the tour allow the league's 70 members to work on many community service projects each year for charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Bill Carey Boys & Girls Club of Brandon, art departments at six local schools, the Brandon Care Pregnancy Center, Brandon Outreach Clinic, Emergency Care Help Organization, Everyday Blessings Adoption Agency and the Good Samaritan Mission in Wimauma.
All women in the greater Brandon area who have a heart for service are welcome to inquire about membership. For information about the league and its activities, visit www.bsl.cc.
For information about the home tour or to purchase tickets, of which only 800 are being printed, call Candy Jackson, home tour chairwoman, at (813) 624-3453. To inquire about corporate sponsorships, call Sandy Pullinger, (813) 684-5479.
Tickets may be purchased from any league member.
