East Bay Volleyball Prepares For Districts

GIBSONTON - With their regular season schedule complete, the East Bay High School girls volleyball team gathered for practice Oct. 22 before their district match the next day.
'We've got a young team, and these girls play hard every night,' said first-year coach Jessica Miller. 'I think we're going to continue to improve.'
Standouts on the team included junior Morgan Williams and sophomore Rochelle McEwen.
The team had an 0-12 record during the regular season and faced the top-seeded Lakeland High School on Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 6A-District 8 tournament at Durant High School in Plant City.
