Dealing With Loss
'Graceful Passages' has helped thousands to come to terms with loss and death as a part of life.
Mary Hirsch will moderate as 'Graceful Passages' blends music and the spoken word in a new way that creates a touching audio experience.
The session will take place at 10 a.m. today in the Heritage Room, Sun City Center, 1009 N. Pebble Beach Blvd. For information, call Ed Leary (813) 383-7594.

Una Nueva Cornucopia
'A New Cornucopia,' an exhibition featuring work by Spanish-speaking artists on the role of food in the craft, art and culture of the Spanish community will open with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Florida Craftsmen, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.
'A New Cornucopia' brings together 12 contemporary artists from eight countries working in a range of media including textiles, ceramics and paper.

Saturday
Pulling Trash Duty
On Saturday, volunteers around the world will converge on coastlines and shorelines to clean trash.
Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful will coordinate the event and expects more than 3,000 volunteers to participate in the event from 8 a.m. to noon.
Here are the sites where volunteers will gather in the South Shore area:
• Apollo Beach Nature Preserve, 6767 Surfside Blvd., Apollo Beach.
• Twin Oaks Plaza, 11072 U.S. 41 South, Gibsonton.
• Three sites in Ruskin: Camp Bayou Preserve, 4202 24th St. S.E; Cockroach Bay, 3709 Gulf City Road; Little Manatee River, 808 Bay View Drive.
Volunteers also will gather on the Sunshine Skyway South Fishing Pier off Interstate 275.

Breast Cancer Walk
Karen's Krewe is hosting a party at 7 p.m. Saturday at Gaspar's Grotto, 1805 Seventh Ave., Ybor City, to benefit walkers participating in the Tampa Bay Three Day Breast Cancer Walk, which will take place Oct. 19.
A minimum donation of $5 per person will asked for at the door.
Karen's Krewe will be walking 60 miles over three days, and each person has to raise $2,200.00 before the event. Krewe members are Karen Malinowski, Paul Malinowski, Michelle Malinowski, Ellen Zellinger, Jacquie Ott, Heather Thom, Susan Haight, Barbara Longnecker and Sharon Maher.
They have pledged to raise $18,000 for the fight against breast cancer.

Free Is For Me
During September, Florida Aquarium and Museum of Science & Industry annual pass holders receive free admission into Lowry Park Zoo during 'Swaptember' - Sept.4-30.
Present a valid membership card at the zoo's ticket windows from the aquarium or MOSI and enjoy a day at the zoo free. It's valid for daytime admission only. The Lowry Park Zoo is at 1101 W. Sligh Ave., Tampa.
