RIVERVIEW - Dan O'Regan knows his fifth year as head coach of the Riverview High School Sharks will not be a walk in the park.
'We've been working pretty hard so far, but we have a tougher schedule this year,' O'Regan said.
Last year, the team finished 7-4 but finished the season with two consecutive losses and a loss in the state playoffs.
This year, they will work to replace senior stars from last year such as running back Antwain Powers, defensive end Bryan Peoples, who is at Florida A&M University, and linebacker Chris Luther, at Carnegie Mellon University.
Standouts this year include senior running back Jahleel Addae who last year gained 1,051 yards and scored 15 touchdowns, and junior quarterback Alex O'Regan, the coach's son.
After winning their preseason game 47-0 over Bloomingdale, the Sharks lost their first game of the season 24-7 to East Bay High School.
