RIVERVIEW - Portions of Boyette Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday to allow for the installation of temporary traffic signals.
The closures will be on alternating lanes and will be intermittent. The temporary traffic signals will replace permanent signals that will be moved as part of the widening of Boyette Road, according to Steve Valdez in the county's Office of Communications.
Hillsborough County officials have approved permits for intermittent lane closures on the following roads in the South Shore area:
• Donneymoor Drive, 200 feet west of Loch Lomond Drive, in the Shadow Run area of Riverview. The eastbound lane will be closed occasionally between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through Friday to allow Tampa Electric Co. to replace power poles.
• Boyette Road, between Cristina Drive and McMullen Road, Riverview. Between Tuesday and Thursday, crews will close alternating lanes between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to install a water main.
• Fairway Meadows Drive, west of Summerfield Boulevard, Riverview. The westbound outside lane could be closed between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday to allow TECO crews to replace transformers.
• Lookout Drive, between Island Cay Way and Lakeway Lane, Apollo Beach. The eastbound lane could be closed temporarily between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Oct. 18. Workers will be removing and replacing a sidewalk.
• 30th Avenue Southeast, about 700 feet east of 30th Street Southeast, Ruskin. The eastbound lane will be affected during utility line maintenance scheduled to occur between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through Oct. 5.
