THURSDAY

A Tech And Music Jam

A summer party with a purpose - Tampa Bay Tech Jam - is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum from 6 to 10 p.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa.

The event will include cocktails, a buffet dinner, an accoustical performance by Ken Block and Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel and a silent auction.

The technology forum encourages at-risk youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. To learn about the organization, go to www .tampabaytechjam.com.

FRIDAY

Concert Under Stars

FishHawk Ranch will host Crystal Blue, a four-piece band featuring four lead vocalists, at 7 p.m. at Park Square in the Garden District, 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia.

Caught In The Act

The Village Players will present the comedy "Noises Off" at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the James McCabe Theater, 506 Fifth St., Valrico.

The plot follows an inept theatrical group trying to put on a racy show called "Nothing On," but the cast's personal and backstage bumbling and bungling threaten to ruin it. The play will be performed on a two-story set that will rotate.

SATURDAY

Visit Rydell High

Members of the Patel Conservatory Youth Theater Company will take the stage and strut their stuff in "Grease" at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's Ferguson Hall, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, Tampa.

Relive the times at Rydell High with Sandy and Danny; listen to song favorites such as "Greased Lightning," "Hopelessly Devoted To You" and "We Go Together."

SUNDAY

A Hitchcock Classic

Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch A Thief" is the film of the day at 3 p.m. at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa.

The 1955 thriller stars Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Tickets are $8.

Rock School Blowout

Students of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center Rock School will plug in their amps, tune their guitars and turn the volume to 11 to show off their talents and growing rock roots at 2 p.m. at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's TECO Theater, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, Tampa.

Coins, Cash, Stamps

The nonprofit Brandon Coin Club will host its annual coin, currency and stamp show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Brandon Elks Lodge, 800 Centennial Lodge Drive, Brandon.

Visitors can have coins and stamps appraised for free. Children age 12 and younger will receive free grab bags filled with coins. The "Hobo nickel man" will make etchings on nickels to give children.
