Wilhelm Named To Dean's List

Elizabeth J. Wilhelm of Ruskin was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Marist College in Pougheepsie, N.Y. Wilhelm is a member of the Class of 2010 and is majoring in business administration with an emphasis on marketing.

Open House At Apollo Beach Elementary

Apollo Beach Elementary School will have an open house from 4-6 p.m. Friday for students and their parents. Meet the teachers, welcome the new assistant principal and preview PTA merchandise.

Activities At Reddick Elementary

Doris Ross Reddick Elementary School, 325 West Lake Drive, Wimauma, has scheduled the following activities to introduce itself to the area and students:

Open house, 3 p.m. today, for residents of Sun City Center and neighboring areas, representatives from businesses, churches, banks and organizations. Meet the staff, tour the facility. There will be entertainment provided.

A parents and students open house is set for 4-6 p.m. Thursday. Attendees may tour the campus and meet the teachers. Principal J. Roth, Assistant Principal Yolanda Guerra and school personnel staff will be present to answer questions and assist families.

The Boo-Hoo Breakfast for kindergartners and their families will be at 8 a.m. Friday. Parents may accompany their children through the cafeteria line for the first time. They will have a free breakfast and then Principal Roth will address the parents while the children spend some time with their teachers in the classrooms. Gifts will be provided to everyone that attends.

Teacher Preparation Information Session

Hillsborough Community College's Educator Preparation Institute will host a information session for people wanting to become teachers in the state school system. Anyone with a bachelors' degree, regardless of field, interested in becoming a teacher should attend the session, which is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Brandon campus's Administration Center, rooms 116-117, 10414 E.
