Carrie Carries The Show
One of country music's hottest acts may melt the ice at the St. Pete Times Forum when she takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Carrie Underwood will bring her Carnival Ride Tour to Tampa for one night only. She has been named the Academy of Country Music Awards' Top Female Vocalist for two consecutive years and is the newest inducted member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Appearing with Underwood will be Little Big Town, winner of the academy's Top New Vocal Group award for 2007.

Saturday
Santa Comes To Market
The Ho-Ho-Holiday Market takes over the Summerfield Community Center, 13011 Summerfield Blvd., Riverview from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. More than 50 crafters, artists and home-based businesses will offer their wares for sale. Items such as stuffed animals, woodworking crafts, jewelry, candles, antiques and gifts will be available. Santa will make a special appearance at noon, so bring your camera.
Let's Do The Stroll
The Shoppes of Southbay will sponsor the South Shore Holiday Stroll from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The free event will begin with guests getting a card to be stamped at more than 20 participating shops and will end with the completed card being turned in for a goody bag and entry for the gift basket drawings.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders, Lightning cheerleaders and the Krewe of the South Shore Marauders pirates will make special appearances. The East Bay High School Jazz Band will entertain. There will be fun things for kids to do and Girl Scouts available to wrap gifts. Participants are asked to bring a canned good to help stock local food pantries.
The shopping center is on the southeast corner of Big Bend Road and U.S. 301 in Riverview.
Listen To The Music
The German-American Club Singers and the South Shore Concert Band will perform in a festive holiday show at 3 p.m. Lynn Hirschfeld will direct the choral selections in English and German, and Ed Nawrock will lead the band.
The concert will take place in the Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center. Tickets are $5 and available from group members or by calling Margot Gunther at (813) 633-0446.
Ships Sailing In the Night
It's time for the 25th annual Apollo Beach Lighted Boat Parade. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. in the North Basin, then wind its way through various canals and end in the Symphony Isles Canal about 9:30 p.m. Private and commercial boats of any size and power, and sail boats, will compete for prizes and usher in the season with this holiday tradition.
It's free to watch and enjoy, but donations will be accepted for the Apollo Beach Waterway Improvement Group to dredge the canals.

Sunday
Choral Groups Strike A Chord
"Holiday Harmony," the South Shore Sound Chorus Christmas show, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Sun City Center United Methodist Church, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. W., Sun City Center.
The local chapter of Sweet Adelines International also will host a guest chorus, Outrageous. General admission tickets are $10; reserved seats are $20. Tickets are available by calling 1-866-730-7464.
Rockapella Rocks The House
The Tampa Theatre will present Rockapella Holiday at 7 p.m. This five-man group uses the human voice for a completely original a cappella holiday concert.
