Drive A Train
The Model Railroad Club of Sun City Center is hosting a holiday open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday. Participants have the opportunity to run a train and earn a certificate. Sunday
Burn Troubles Away
The Unity Community of Joy is having a Burning Bowl Ceremony to help release old, unwanted things in your life and clear the way for new beginnings. It will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Armstrong Room, 953 N. Course Drive, Sun City Center. Participants write what they would like to release on slips of paper, place it in a small, dedicated bowl to burn outside and return inside to conclude the ceremony. The community is invited to this free event.
Monday
Keep On Truckin'
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi stir the pot with "Soul Stew Revival" at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa. Trucks, a blues and rock guitarist, has played with Bob Dylan, Joe Walsh, Stephen Stills and the Allman Brothers. Tedeschi mixes classic, urban and gospel blues for a new sound of blues music. An 11-piece ensemble, including three horns, provides back up for them.

Dancing Horses
The "World Famous" Lipizzaner Stallions will dance and prance their way into the Lakeland Center for shows at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 31. Plan Ahead
Elvis Remembrance
"Memories of Elvis" will be presented by the Blackwood Brothers Quartet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8 in the Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center. The show is scheduled on Elvis' birthday, which makes it special for everyone. Friends of the singer, the Blackwoods were asked to sing at his funeral.
The performance benefits the Sun City Center Emergency Squad. Tickets, $15, are available at the squad. Call (813) 642-0920 or e-mail dleath@dleath.com.
