Hear The Bells Ring
The handbell choirs from St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, United Community Church, United Church of Christ and the Sun City Center United Methodist Church will join forces and present a combined handbell concert at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 W. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City Center.
Each of the choirs will play two numbers alone and then play as one choir for three additional songs.

Original Rough Rider
The Panama Canal Museum will host a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday to commemorate the 150th birthday of President Theodore Roosevelt at the Seminole Community Library of St. Petersburg College, Seminole campus, 9200 113th St. N., Seminole.
Michael O. Smith will portray the president. Tickets are $30.

Go Cat Go!
The fifth annual WMNF Rockabilly Ruckus, featuring Wanda Jackson, hops into Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa, at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The joint will be jumping to the music of Jackson, Rocket 88, Unknown Hinson, Midnight Bowler's League, Hot Rod Walt & the Psychodevilles, HoDaddys and Rock A Fellas.

Tap Wanderlust
The AAA offices of Brandon and Sun City Center will host a travel expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at River Hills Golf and Country Club, 3943 New River Hills Parkway, Valrico.
Featuring more than 20 cruise and tour representatives, each vendor will have special savings and travel incentives for both AAA members and nonmembers.
U.S. Postal Service personnel will be on hand with passport filing assistance, and AAA employees will provide free photos for any applicant applying for or renewing their passport. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will be onsite to fingerprint children for its identification/security program.
And better yet, well-known Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan Big Nasty will be available for photos and autographs.
Find Good Loot
Are you a sucker for a good yard sale? Or maybe a backyard gardener in need of something to spruce up the place?
The Riverview Garden Club will host its annual plant and rummage sale at the Riverview Civic Center, 11020 Park Drive, Riverview, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many of the plants and seedlings for sale were donated by area nurseries. You may also buy and bring home baked goods, household items, clothes, books, jewelry and more. Proceeds will pay for $1,000 scholarships for area students seeking degrees in gardening and horticulture.

It's State Fair Time
The Florida State Fair is a feast for all the senses, with food, rides, performances and other attractions for the whole family. The fair opens at 9 a.m. and will run through Monday. Closing times will vary depending on the day of the week.
Visitors can enjoy an abundance of events, including fireworks, a Las Vegas revue, professional wrestling demonstrations, the Elvis Extravaganza Impersonator national finals, a roller derby championship and Country Gold Tour 2008, featuring many popular country singers. The Tampa Tribune is among the sponsors. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for ages 6 to 11 and free for ages 5 and younger. Parking is free.
