Holiday Tally: 6 Perfect Games

The time off for the holidays certainly didn't affect perfect-game shooters and high-series scorers around the Tampa Bay area.

Six 300s, a 299 and two 800 series were the highlights, with two perfect games at Pin Chasers Veterans, two at Brandon Crossroads and two at Pin Chasers Midtown.

Harry Pinero, in the Veterans Hits and Missers League, rolled 257-215-300 - 772, while Dave Dewitt went 300-280-189 - 769 in the Veterans Dave Olm's Pro Shop Four Aces League.

Tom Donlay and Boz Harvey bowled perfectos in the BCB Men's League, while Dale Kolesar and Troy Wilson were perfect in the Midtown Pepsi 8/40 League and Chad Gaddie rolled 804.

Also at BCB, David Bryant had 801 in the Tampa Bay Men's League, while ladies Tampa Hall of Famer Trudy Lavoie bowled 760 in the Up Your Average Women's League. And James Schultz rolled 299 in the BCB Monday Mix-Ups League.

OAKFIELD LANES: It was the week of 700s at Oakfield.

Seventeen series of 700 or better were fashioned, led by Rich Devillier's 288-783 in the Dick Stowers League.

Then came CJ Cale 290-782, Jim Sneed 277-779 and 268-733, Reggie Mitchell Sr., 775, TC Hilderbrand 280-763, Frank Fautas 761, Bobby Farr 760, Doug Parham 748, Mike Dekker 746, Neil Harris 743, Harry Pope 737, Mike Tuzzolino 278-734, Jerry Caldwell 265-733, Wes Prochaska 279-717, John Lewis 710 and Stan Meadows 705.

Other good scores for the men were Ron Inman 269-692, Farr 267-674, Jon Byrne 265-670, Al Kennon 278-661, Marc Weaver 289 and Dan Carter 278.

Liz Kimmel paced the women with 248-680, while Nadine Lewis had 246-594, Cristin Marion 245, Ann Padgett 237, Carol Wrobel 230 and Jackie Beck 230.

AMF UNIVERSITY: Basil Orr, Josh Kelly and Tina Tressler were the leaders last week.

Orr rolled 265-733, while Kelly had 258-738 to pace the men. Other good scores for the men were Billy Wilson 247-695, Brian More 237-667, Dwayne Speak 236-643, Shawn Lampinen 234-641 and Billy Kelly Jr. 247-618.

Tressler bowled 213-608 to lead all women, followed by Casie Soderstrom 192-553, Cindy Clark 199-519, Lynn Helsel 180-515 and Natalie Groves 199-508.

PIN CHASERS MIDTOWN: Allen Lassiter's 277-740 led all bowlers in the Sardegna's Pro Shop Industrial League last week.

Other good scores were Tommy Arnao 266-688, Richard Allen 258-687, Jeff Shoats 279-680, Joe Daigneault 679, Rick Pierola 267-662, Randy Pullara 656, Rocky Lawrance 653 and Paul Chapin 651.

FLORIDA LANES: Bob Laxen's 235-569 and Shawn Gagne's 235-535 led the men last week, while Rhonda Eyring paced the women with 190-559.

PIN POINTS: Dave DeWitt, Amy Mai and Pam Stewart were the leaders in the Pinarama Lanes Base Exchange League. DeWitt's 270-695 led the men, followed by George Muratides 245-636, Bill Helsel Sr. 633, Kevin Leung 631, Bill Rogers 630, Ben Artino 628, Knuckles Knuckles 247, Ray Sipple 246, "T" Thrash 245 and Robert Seig 244. Mai had 199-524, while Stewart went 194-583 to lead the women, followed by Steph Micco 192-516, Andrea Seiser 180-515, Betty Lewis 512 and Kathleen Toler 495.
