Lace Up Saddle Shoes

The third annual Senior Fun Fest, which will feature musical artists once featured on "American Bandstand," takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Thursday in the Florida State Fairgrounds' Expo Hall.

The free two-day event will feature more than 200 exhibitors with health and wellness screenings, golf swing analysis, senior lifestyles, travel and attractions, senior services, bingo games, arts and crafts by Michael's, and thousands in prizes and giveaways.

Artists scheduled to perform include Mary Swan, Richie Merritt of The Marcels, The Clovers, The Drifters and Ken Brady of The Casinos.

Hot Topic: Taxes

State Sen. Ronda Storms, R-Valrico, will hold a community meeting at 10 a.m. Friday in the Caper Room of the Sun City Center Community Association Building, 1009 N. Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center. She will address the proposed constitutional amendment concerning property taxes that will be voted on Tuesday.

Saturday

A Benefit With Variety

The annual variety show to benefit the Mary and Martha House is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center.

Bob Boyd and his 42nd Street Band will show their diverse music range from big band, swing and jazz to contemporary. Vocalist Carolyn Cline and comedian Barry St. Ives are among some of the other performers that will be featured during the evening.

Tickets are $12 and available at the Ruskin and Apollo Beach chambers of commerce and the Mary and Martha House, 1009 First St. S.W., Ruskin. For information, call (813) 645-7874.

Fine Arts Exhibition
Art Festival Beth-El, Temple Beth-El's annual fine art exhibition and sale, will take place Saturday through Monday at Temple Beth-El, 400 Pasadena Ave. S., St. Petersburg.

The festival will showcase more than 170 national and international award-winning artists.

Is There A Cover-Up?

Carol Roberts, lecturer and founder of the Wellness Works in Brandon, will speak on and show videos about the findings of The Disclosure Project at 1 p.m Monday in the Banquet Room of the Kings Point Clubhouse, Sun City Center.

The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems.

Ready, Set, Sew

Shirley Adams, a nationally renowned speaker and designer, will conduct a sewing seminar from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd. W., Sun City Center.

Adams researches, develops and constructs her creations.

Tickets, which include lunch, are $25 for American Sewing Guild members and $30 for nonmembers.
