Lightning, Then Crash

The Tampa Bay Lightning presents a post-game concert with Crash Motive following the 7:30 p.m. game against the Vancouver Canucks at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive. Game tickets include admission to the concert on the Chrysler-Jeep Plaza.

By George! It's Gershwin

The Super Pops concert "By George, By Ira! By Gershwin!," showcasing George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," plays at 8 p.m. in Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place.

Go For A Walk?
Greyhound Rescue & Adoptions and Greyhound Pets of America host the second annual Parade of Greys, a walkathon to benefit retired and rescued greyhounds at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave., Tampa.

Registration for the rain-or-shine event is at 11 a.m., with the walk starting at noon. There will be food, games, contests and merchandise.

Strutting Their Stuff
Derrick Brooks Youth Charities will present the Tampa stop of the Ebony Fashion Fair at 3 p.m. at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St.

Thirteen models will parade the latest styles by world famous designers including Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera, Bill Blass and Jean Louis Sherrer.

All Weekend

Attention Curio Collectors

If you're one of those people who love to buy antiques and collectibles, then you'd better head on down to 21st Century Expositions' Sarasota Antiques and Collectibles Fair Saturday and Sunday at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds' Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Blvd.

More than 60 dealers will be on hand featuring antique furniture, jewelry, advertising items, glassware, militaria, automobilia, postcards, books, English pottery, vintage trunks, beads, artwork, architectural items, coins, stamps, Floridiana and more.

General admission is $5. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free with accompanying adult. Parking is free.

It's Showtime At The State Fair

The Florida State Fair will be a feast for all the senses, with food, rides, performances and other attractions for the whole family. The fair opens at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 and will run through Feb. 18. Closing times will vary depending on the day of the week.

Visitors can enjoy an abundance of events, including fireworks, a Las Vegas revue, professional wrestling demonstrations, the Elvis Extravaganza Impersonator national finals, a roller derby championship and Country Gold Tour 2008, featuring many popular country singers. There also will be food vendors, games and prizes. The Tampa Tribune is among the sponsors. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for ages 6 to 11 and free for ages 5 and younger. Parking is free.
