Published: January 30, 2008

RIVERVIEW - Construction crews continue to install a water main along Boyette Road this week, which will mean nighttime detours for motorists on stretches of Boyette on the east side of Balm-Riverview Road.

Hillsborough County has authorized a permit to close Boyette between Balm-Riverview and McMullen roads from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. today and Thursday.

Motorists are advised to turn south on McMullen or Balm-Riverview to get to Tucker Road and go around the barricades.

Other closures, requested by Tampa Electric Co., include:

In Apollo Beach, the westbound lane of Elsberry Road from its dead end to Dickman Road will be blocked intermittently for power pole removal. The permit expires Feb. 8.

In the Ruskin area, workers will have to alternate lanes that are blocked on Gulf City Road between U.S. 41 and Willis Road. TECO will be doing power line maintenance in that area through Feb. 8.

In Balm, the northbound lane of Alderman Turner Road between Carlton Lake Road and Sugarsand Lane will be closed intermittently to allow transformer installation. The work is to be completed by Feb. 8.
