Chris Rocks

Chris Rock rolls into Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, today and Thursday.

Rock's "No Apologies Tour" features his adults-only take on social, political and celebrity issues.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. today and 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $55.50 to $99.50 and available by calling (813) 229-7827.

THURSDAY

Godfather Of Goth

Peter Murphy, the former lead vocalist of Bauhaus, an early '80s post-punk goth rock band, performs at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St.

He has been called the "Godfather of Goth" with career hits "Cuts You Up," "All Night Long" and "The Sweetest Drop."

Reserved seats are $33.50 and $38.50, and available at the box office; by calling (813) 287-8844; or through www.ticketmaster.com.

Headbangers Unite

The Crüe Fest Tour, which hits the Ford Amphitheatre on Thursday, will feature performances by Motley Crüe, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, SIXX: A.M. and Trapt, plus more acts on a second stage.

Doors open at 4 p.m. at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

Tickets are $101 for pit area general admission, $61 and $81 for reserved seating, $35.50 for lawn tickets and $99 for a four-pack of lawn tickets. They may be purchased at the box office or by calling (813) 287-8844.

Friday

Pig Roast

The Riverview American Legion Post 148, 7240 U.S. 301 S., is hosting a community celebration that will include live entertainment and a pig roast at 1 p.m.

A Patriotic Parade

The annual Brandon Fourth of July parade will start at 10 a.m. at West Lumsden Road and South Parsons Avenue. Attractions will include floats, sirens, patriotic music, marching bands and more.

The parade will travel north on Parsons, west on West Robertson Street and end at Buckingham Place and into the Publix parking lot west of Kings Avenue.

Ooohs And Aaahs

The Westfield Brandon mall will light up the night skies as it sponsors the fifth annual Brandon Blast at 9 p.m. The best viewing area is closest to State Road 60 and Interstate 75. Other sponsors include BankAtlantic, The Tampa Tribune, The Greater Brandon Community Foundation and radio station WQYK, 99.5 FM.

Bursts Of Color

For the eighth consecutive year, the SS American Victory celebrates Independence Day with special pricing for its Restoration Tours and offers front-row seating for the Fireworks at Channelside. Enjoy the 9 p.m. show from the ship's weather deck.

All-day admission is $10, with special rates for ages 12 and younger. Visitors pay $5 after 5 p.m. The Victory is moored at 705 Channelside Drive. For details, call (813) 228-8766.

•The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, is extending hours until 9:30 p.m. and cutting admission to $10 after 3 p.m. for the fireworks show.

Visitors also can take a sunset cruise to view the fireworks aboard the aquarium's 64-foot catamaran, the Bay Spirit, which departs at 7 p.m. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine; tickets are $50. For details, call (813) 273-4568.
