THURSDAY

Fun Songs On Tap

Do you feel like singing? George Aldrich will visit the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin, at 2 p.m. to lead the Sing-Along Storybook. He will offer classic and humorous story songs such as "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Stewball." The library has seating available for 200.

Going Broadway

The Riverview High School Summer Musical Theatre Project will present the all-student production of the Broadway musical "Rent: School Edition" at 7:30 p.m. thorough Saturday at Riverview High School, 11311 Boyette Road, Riverview.

Tickets are $8 and available at www.ticketleap.com or at the box office the day of performance. The production is not recommended for those younger than 13. Call (813) 671-5011, ext. 259.

FRIDAY

It's Country Time

The Ford Amphitheatre will turn country for the "Cowboy Town Tour" at 7 p.m. Newcomers Rodney Atkins and James Otto will take turns showing their stuff before the big boys - Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn - take center stage. The award-winning Brooks & Dunn have been performing together for 18 years and have a list of hits to prove it.

Tickets range from $29.50 to $54.25, and are available by calling (813) 740-2446. The theater is at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

SATURDAY

The Backyardigans Live!

See "The Tale of the Mighty Knights" as Nickelodeon's Backyardigans take the stage for six shows Saturday and Sunday at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, Tampa.

Show times are 11 a.m., 2 and 5 p.m.

Ticket prices range from $5 for infant lap seating to $38, and are available by calling (813) 229-7827 or visiting www.tbpac.org.

A Grand Tour

Take a balcony-to-backstage tour of Tampa Theatre, 711 Franklin St, Tampa, at 11:30 a.m.

Tara Schroeder will lead an entertaining tour, where art, mythology and history are interwoven through one of America's best-preserved examples of grand movie palace architecture. The $5 admission benefits the theater's ongoing restoration. Those 12 and younger will be admitted for free.

SUNDAY

Art Celebration

The SouthShore Arts Council is sponsoring "Wild About Art III" from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Royal Palm Ball Room at the Resort & Club at Little Harbor, 611 Destiny Drive, Ruskin.

The free event will feature 12 South Shore artists. All artwork displayed will reflect Florida's flora and fauna. A portion of all sales will benefit the council. Event sponsors include The Resort and Club at Little Harbor and The Tampa Tribune. For information, call (813) 645-3732.

Tuesday

What's Your Game?

Boys and girls can explore "Sports Around The World" by visiting the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin, at 2 p.m.

The event will celebrate the world of sports through stories, music and games. The library has seating for 200.
