Storms Coming
State Sen. Ronda Storms will address the South Shore Republican Club meeting at 6 p.m. in the Beef O' Brady's coaches room, 13326 Lincoln Road, Riverview. FRIDAY
Remembering D-Day
Review the events surrounding the invasion of Normandy Beach, June 6, 1944, in a multimedia presentation at 1 p.m. at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. It is an unforgettable day in American history.
SATURDAY
Here Fishy, Fishy
Spend a day outdoors with the kids reeling in the big ones at the annual Family Catfish Tournament at E.G. Simmons Park, 2401 19th Ave. N.W., Ruskin. Sponsored by the Ruskin Junior Woman's Club and supported by Cub Scout Pack 662, this is an event people of all ages can sink their hooks into. Fishing starts at daylight and the catfish weigh-in begins at noon.
Entry fees are: adults $35; juniors, ages 10 to 17, $10; kids, ages 6 to 9, $5. Little ones, 5 and under, are free. Lunch only tickets are available for $10. Prizes are awarded for the top three in each category. Adults: $500, $250 and $125; juniors: fishing rods; and kids vie for trophies.

Homemade Music
A free symposium on the art, business and culture of making music will be presented from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the new performing arts building of Hillsborough Community College's Ybor City campus at Palm Avenue and 14th Street, across from the Cuban Club. Participants and area musicians will perform throughout Ybor City after the symposium ends until 10 p.m.
Addressing the do-it-yourself aspect of the music business, presentations and discussions will include song writing; making a low-cost video for the Net; improving live performances; recording at home; and booking a tour. Musical instrument workshops are free.

SUNDAY
Take In A Classic
View the movie classic "My Man Godfrey" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St.
This screwball comedy starring William Powell and Carole Lombard was made in 1936 and is part of the Summer Classic Movie Series. Tickets are $8.
Ethereal Performance
Stevie Nicks takes the stage Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Ford Amphitheatre, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
The mystical chanteuse is promoting her upcoming CD/DVD "Soundstage," which will be released July 15.

PLAN AHEAD
Fall With The Gators
Gator Falls opens with a splash at 9:30 a.m. June 14 at the Lowry Park Zoo. Be one of the first to hop in a log and experience the new Gator Falls water flume ride within the Lykes Florida Wildlife Center. Float down the "river" with a 30-foot drop over a pair of albino alligators and explore native Florida.
