The club meets at noon Wednesdays at The Golf Club at Cypress Creek, 1011 Cypress Village Blvd., Ruskin. Guests and members of other Rotary clubs are welcome. The cost is $12 per person for lunch.

Silverliners Choose New Leaders, Meet
TAMPA - Last month the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Eastern Airlines Silverliners International elected new officers for the 2008-09.
The new president is Adrienne Love; vice president, Barbara Bukata; secretary, Barbara Reed; and treasurer, Trish Schwartzkopf.
"The chapter has been around for a number of years and many of the women have served in several capacities over the years," Reed said. "We do work well together, and I say that because we put on a highly successful convention in St. Pete in April."
Reed was installed as secretary of the international organization, Silverliners International, at the April convention. "You know how it goes. You leave the room for a minute, and you get elected to an office!" quipped Reed when congratulated for becoming secretary.
In 1956 and 1957 Reed worked as a flight attendant. "At that time, when flight attendants married, they had to resign or take a ground job," she said. "I found it to be a very fascinating job. ... We provided service from the time a passenger boarded the plane until he/she disembarked. ... It was considered a glamorous job, something to which to aspire."
The next Florida Gulf Coast Chapter meeting will take place at 1 p.m. June 28 at Lee Roy Selmon's, 4302 W. Boy Scout Blvd., Tampa.
Former Eastern Airlines flight attendants can join the group by calling Love, (813) 677-2909, or Janice Henry, (813) 837-4312.

SUN CITY CENTER - The Kiwanis Club of Sun City Center celebrated its 37th anniversary April 29 at Freedom Plaza.
Seel Lundy, club president, presided over the dinner, and Ed Brown served as master of ceremonies.
Honorees included Jim Elliott, a past president and past lieutenant governor in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Florida, and Jim Morgan, a life member of Kiwanis International.
Morgan was a "highly decorated hero of World War II," said Joe Nargolwala, club publicity chairman in a recent letter. He received "a personal letter of commendation from President Roosevelt and a similar letter from France for his part in the landing at Normandy."
Elliott and Morgan have been in Kiwanis more than 54 years and are members of "the coveted Kiwanis Legion of Honor" which is granted after 25 years of Kiwanian service, Nargolwala said.
Nargolwala is a life member and received a Tablet of Honor from the Kiwanis International Foundation. He is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Leisure World, Md.
Nargolwala received a Freedom Team Salute Commendation from the Army. The Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff sponsor the Freedom Team Salute program as a way to honor veterans or soldiers' families or employers.
The George F. Hixson Fellow, another Kiwanis honor, is held by five members of the club: Elliott, Morgan, Nargolwala, Simone M. Baillergeon and Sala Halm.
Dee Wilcox was named Kiwanian of the Year, and Halm received "a plaque recognizing his long and faithful service as club secretary," Nargolwala said.
The club gave Chuck Wirick, immediate past-president, a gift for his service to the community as president of the men's chorus and Pelican Players.
The diners participated in a silent auction after Pat Raimondo sang "God Be with You Till We Meet Again."
