Dream Weavers
The Handweaver's Guild of America's annual conference, Convergence, which celebrates the textile arts, is at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St., through Saturday.
The event includes informal fashion shows, opportunities to speak to equipment manufacturers and fiber producers, product demonstrations and, of course, shopping.
Day passes are $10; those 18 and younger will be admitted for free with a paying adult.

Storyteller Or Reptiles
Children in kindergarten through fifth grade have a choice of activities at two libraries Thursday.
The SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin, is hosting storyteller Kwabena Dinizulu at 2 p.m. There is seating available for 200.
The Riverview Library, 1509 Riverview Drive, Riverview, will have Croc Encounters at 3 p.m. It is an interactive educational program that features live animals from the Reptile Park and Wildlife Center. Seating is limited to 60.
'Superstar' At Center
"Jesus Christ Superstar," the first musical masterpiece from the team of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, comes to the stage Thursday through Sunday in Carol Morsani Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place.
With a score of songs including "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "Hosanna," and "Superstar," this production of the 1971 musical stars Ted Neeley in the title role and Corey Glover as Judas.

Keith At Amphitheatre
Toby Keith, with special guest Montgomery Gentry, performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Ford Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N.
Five of Keith's albums have topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and he has had 16 number one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Tickets are $49.75 and $73.75 for reserved seating or $34.50 for general admission lawn seating; they are available at the box office or by calling (813) 287-8844.
Get Your Tacky On
Socks with sandals, flowery shirts, and fanny packs - telltale signs of a tourist.
The krewes of Charlotte de Berry, St. Florian, Mustang Sallies and Riders, Spirit of Cigar City and Brigadoon are joining together for a Tacky Tourist Party at 6 p.m. Saturday upstairs at Channelside, 615 Channelside Drive, Tampa.
Be sure to dress accordingly. Participating venues are Banana Joes, Velvet Room, Sling Shots and Hooks Rum Club.
Tickets are $20 each. Proceeds to benefit Camp Hopetake, a burn-survivor camp for children.

A Classic Comedy
Comedy buffs better start lining up in front of the Tampa Theatre's box office because a new 35mm print of the classic "The Pink Panther," starring Peter Sellers as Inspector Jacques Clouseau, will be on the silver screen at 3 p.m. Sunday.
David Niven and Robert Wagner co-star in the 1963 classic.
