THURSDAY
A Meet-And-Greet
The Sun City Center Republican Club will play host to Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Rob Turner and James Townsend at its meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Greater Sun City Center Chamber of Commerce, 1651 Sun City Plaza, Sun City Center.
Turner and Townsend, both Republicans, are running for the property appraiser's seat.
FRIDAY
Patriotic Pops
At The Florida Orchestra's final Pops concert of the season, Richard Kaufman conducts "Star Spangled Pops," a Memorial Day salute of patriotic tunes and Sousa marches, at 8 p.m. in Ferguson Hall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place.
The program will include a centennial salute to composer Leroy Anderson, known for such works as "Blue Tango Waltz," "The Typewriter" and "Bugler's Holiday."

SATURDAY
Boat Safety Checks
As part of National Safe Boating Week, the U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer free recreational vessel safety checks at the following locations:.
•Gandy boat ramp, 5108 W. Gandy Blvd., Tampa, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
•Williams Park boat ramp, 6401 Riverview Drive, Gibsonton, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
•E.G. Simmons Park boat ramp, 2401 19th Ave. N.E., Ruskin, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The checks are a 15-minute review of a recreational boat's overall condition and safety equipment for compliance with federal/state requirements. Items checked include registration, lifejackets, distress signals, fire extinguishers and navigation lights.
All Keyed Up
Alicia Keys, with special guests Ne-Yo and Jordin Sparks, hits the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, at 8 p.m.
Keys, a performer, producer and songwriter who has won 11 Grammy Awards and sold more than 40 million albums and singles worldwide, is touring in support of her latest album, "As I Am."

SUNDAY
Military Families Day
The Henry B. Plant Museum, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., will offer free admission to active or retired military personnel and their families for Military Families Day.
There will be self-guided and audio tours throughout the day. At 2 p.m., the museum's "Upstairs/Downstairs at the Tampa Bay Hotel" live theater series will debut a new character, Henry Dobson, a soldier in the Spanish-American War.

MONDAY
Remember The Fallen
Those wanting to honor military personnel who have died serving the country should head to Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, at 10 a.m. Monday to take in the facility's annual Memorial Day observance.
The event will include a guest speaker from U.S. Central Command, and the colors will be presented by the 6th Air Mobility Wing Honor Guard, both of which are based at MacDill Air Force Base.
A representative from each service branch that works at U.S. Central Command will unveil Serenity Meadows' new flag pole that is dedicated to its Patriot Cremation Gardens. Members of Boy Scout Troop 110 also will participate in the ceremonies.
