The death of the Bell Shoals Baptist Church's Rev. Forrest Pollock and his 13-year-old son, Preston, in a plane crash prompted hundreds of users at TBO.com to leave online condolences for the pastor's family. I am so very sad for the loss of our pastor, as my family attended the church for about two months or so. We had just joined the church on grand opening Sunday.

Our deepest sympathy to the Pollock family. May God's endless love bring you comfort through the toughest of days.

We were members of Istrouma Baptist Church in Louisiana during your time there. Pastor Pollock ministered at the Louisiana church for five years before coming to Florida in 2002. Pastor Pollock and Preston were in our prayers from the moment we heard the news, and you all will continue to be lifted up through this time. ... Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Forrest had such passion, purpose and pizzazz. Once my mom heard him, she started going to church again. He will never be forgotten.

My prayers are with the pastor's wife and children. I did not know the pastor or his family. All I knew was how my son spoke of him and his family. The pastor and your church made a difference in my son's life, and for that I am thankful. May the Lord give the family and the church peace during this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Pollock, as I sit and write with a heavy heart, please know that my prayers are with you and all of your precious children. They mean so much to me, as I have taught them through the years, and my prayers for you and they are that God would just wrap his loving arms around all of you through our teachers and staff and your church members. I feel so blessed to have had Preston in my music classes and have gotten to know him. The few times I was blessed to hear Pastor Pollock speak, I was so moved by his wisdom and words of inspiration. Please know that my church, First Baptist Dover, is praying for you and your family. May God bless you and give you a peace that only He can give. They will surely be missed.

Another great man of God has been gathered to be with him. Forest Pollock and his son, Preston, are now in eternal bliss with our savior Jesus. Forrest's life has been one which has touched millions through all media. He has finished his mission, served as a gallant warrior for the Lord, and is now enjoying his rewards. We are here to carry on in his stead, which includes comforting his family and lifting them before the Lord for his peace, which passes all understanding.

I cannot express what a joy it has been to be a member of Bell Shoals for the past two years. Pastor Pollock had such an amazing vision for this church, a passion for prayer and a love for the word of God. He has impacted my growth as a Christian in many positive ways. He was an amazing speaker and teacher, and I could have listened to his sermons all day long.

Pastor Forrest was an amazing pastor. He was motivating, inspirational and always a light. I will never forget him and his wife inviting people over for Thanksgiving that didn't have family to be with. This world has lost two wonderful people today. May God uphold his family and comfort them.

My heart is deeply saddened at such a loss, not only of this great man but his son as well. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at the untimely loss of this wonderful man. For all believers, we will all have a reunion again in heaven.

You will be missed by all. You are a beloved pastor who has made a difference in so many lives, including our family. Our children are the Christians they are today because of your vision for Bell Shoals. Our thoughts and prayers are with your wife, children and mother today as you have gone home to our Father. There will be a reunion of all who love you when we all get to heaven. Rest in peace, Forrest.
