Go To The County Fair
The Hillsborough County Fair comes to life beginning today for five days with carnival rides, livestock shows, arts competitions, musical entertainment, crafts and of course the traditional fair foods.
There also is a classic car show, chili cook-off, a teenage Battle of the Bands competition and much more.
The fair opens at 5 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. Saturday and at noon Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors and free for children age 8 and younger. THURSDAY
4-Wheel Fun
Check under the hood of concept cars, exotics, hybrids and more as the Tampa Bay International Auto Show rolls into the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St., from Thursday through Sunday.
Show times are noon to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $9, or $4 for ages 62 and older, military personnel, students and ages 7 to 12. Ages 6 and younger are admitted free. Inspirational Message
Evangelist Joyce Meyer makes a stop at the St. Pete Times Forum for a free, three-day conference starting Thursday. Meyer takes the podium at 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. She will be joined by Darlene Zschech for musical inspiration.

Splat-A-Tat-Tat
Tap your inner soldier from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. by playing paintball to benefit the Women's Resource Center.
All of the action, which can be had for a $25 donation, takes place at the Masonic Youth Camp, 18050 U.S. 301 S., Wimauma. The camp is also collecting canned food goods for Brandon's Emergency Care Help Organization. For information, call (813) 634-1220.
Feels Like Havana
Take trip back to Havana during its heyday by way of the Ruskin Moose Lodge, 1212 E. Shell Point Road, from 6 to 10 p.m. You'll be able to enjoy cigar rolling, salsa dancing, silent auctions and Cuban cuisine as a way to raise money for the Manatee Festival of the Arts.

MONDAY
Hear The Thunder
Celtic Thunder is on its first American tour and stops at the St. Pete Times Forum at 8 p.m.
The singers, all from Ireland and Scotland, range in age from 14 to 40. For information about the group, visit www.celticthunder.ie.

Salute The Veterans
The Veterans Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County high school Jr. ROTC's Pass in Review program will honor Tampa Bay area veterans at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Museum and Park, 3602 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
