Boyette Road Widening Behind Schedule
RIVERVIEW - Motorists who travel on Boyette Road near Riverview High School will have to endure construction delays a little longer.
County spokesman Steve Valdez said the $15 million project to widen Boyette Road between Balm-Riverview Road and Donneymoor Drive is scheduled to be completed in February - three months after the initial target date.
"We had some redesigning to do because we had some developers who decided not to develop anymore because of the economy," Valdez said.
Work on the mile-long stretch of Boyette Road began in June 2007.
