RUSKIN - Nothing could be more apropos in Florida than mixing classical music with shorts, T-shirts and flip-flops.
On Sunday, 65 members of the Florida Orchestra will perform at E.G. Simmons Park, 2401 19th Ave. N.W., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It would be a good idea to bring a lawn chair or blanket, and something nonalcoholic to drink while you sit back and relax.
The Community Foundation of Greater Sun City Center shelled out $50,000 to bring the group to perform the free, Pops in the Park concert. Concert-goers are asked to bring a boxed or canned food item to donate in lieu of admission.
