FRIDAY

Nealon Is Appealin'

Kevin Nealon brings his dry wit to the Tampa Improv Comedy Theatre & Restaurant, 1600 E. Eighth Ave. in Ybor City, Friday and Saturday.

As a longtime cast member of "Saturday Night Live," Nealon is remembered for characters such as The Subliminal Man, and a stint as Weekend Update anchor.

Show times are 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $25. All shows are for ages 21 and older except 10:30 p.m. Friday, which is for ages 18 and older. For ticket information, call (813) 864-4000 or go to www.tampaimprov.com.

Martina Time

Country music superstar Martina McBride will hit the stage at the Ford Amphitheatre with special guests Jack Ingram and Jason Michael Carroll starting at 6 p.m.

Reserved seat tickets are $18.75, $39.50 and $54.50. There is no lawn seating for the performance. Tickets are available from www.live nation.com, www.ticket master.com or by calling (813) 287-8844. The theater is at 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

A Fusion Of Genres

Entertainers Armand and Angelina will perform their unique fusion of world, classical and popular music at 7 p.m. in the Florida Room of the Atrium, 945-D North Course Lane, Sun City Center.

Tickets are $15 at the door.

SATURDAY

Festa Italiana!

San Marco Plaza, 8215 Natures Way, Lakewood Ranch, is celebrating Italian style from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with Harlequin performers, including magicians and jugglers, strolling musicians, operatic singers, interactive games and I Madonnari demonstrations.

A street market will feature Venetian Halloween masks, Murano glass collectibles and jewelry.

Toe-Tapping Fun

Honorary mayor of Ruskin candidate John Smith is hosting family music festival from 5 to 9 p.m. at the South Shore Community Events Center, 302 Noonan Branch Road, Apollo Beach.

Local country musician Bill Floyd will perform, as will rock 'n' roll band Off the Cuff and Elvis impersonator Bill Lindsey. The event also will include bouncy houses, games and activities for children.

A $5 donation will benefit the Mary and Martha House and the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce. For tickets, call Penny, (813) 454-5406.

Stride for Strays

The Animal Coalition of Tampa presents its annual Stride for Strays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lowry Park, 1719 Lemon St., Tampa.

The one-mile walk is open to any animal lover and leashed, well-behaved pet, who wants to raise money to help control the pet population. The event will include food, prizes, demonstrations, animal rescue groups and pet-friendly vendors.

Street Rods Rule

The National Street Rod Association presents the 21st annual Southeast Nationals from Friday through Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N.

The event features inside and outside displays of more than 1,600 pre-1978 vehicles, swap meet, manufacturer's displays, model car display, children's games and more.

Show hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $14 per person; $5 for ages 6 to 12 and free to children 5 and younger. Parking is $5.
