The new season of the Henry B. Plant Museum's "Upstairs/Downstairs at the Tampa Bay Hotel" starts at 2 p.m. at the museum, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
Step back in time and enjoy a theatrical, single-character vignette that brings to life a turn-of the century Tampa Bay Hotel staff member or guest. Based on hotel research, each character presents a different perspective of the time.

Hola, Fiesta
Celebrate Mexico's independence from noon to 8 p.m. inside Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 310 N., Tampa.
Slated to perform are Beto y sus Canarios, Grupo Control, Jimena, Las Potras, Lamento Show de Durango, Cortez de la Sierra and more. The event also will include traditional Mexican and Latin-American foods.
Admission is $15; those 12 and younger will be admitted for free. Parking is $5 for cars; $10 for RVs and buses. Use the U.S. 301 entrance.

Biggest Boat Show
The Tampa Boat Show docks Friday through Sunday at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St.
More than 700 of the latest boats and marine accessories will be on display. See luxury and cruising yachts, sport fishers, bass boats, performance boats, personal watercraft, sailboats, engines and more.
Show times are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $9 for ages 16 and older, $5 for ages 13 to 15 and free for others.
