Learn How Every Drop Helps

Master gardener Maria Carver will lead a water-wise workshop at 7 p.m. at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. Her discussion will focus on ways to conserve water in a Florida landscape with regular methods and micro-irrigation.

Friday

A Clean Comedy Show

Comedian Johnny Roberts brings his down-home, Southern-fried humor to Parrish for a two-hour show starting at 7 p.m. His friendly manner, jokes and one-liners are suitable for the family.

Foster Reads His 'Discovery!'

Listen to John Foster read from his anthology "Discovery!" at 3 p.m. at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. Foster's poems have a mix of wit, wisdom, whimsy, clever wordplay and humorous observations.

Foster is a resident of Sun City Center.

Catch This Invisible Rabbit

"Harvey" is at the Tampa Theatre at 3 p.m. - or is he? James Stewart's character, Elwood P. Dowd, is the only one who can see Harvey, a 6-foot rabbit, in this popular classic movie.

Tickets are $8. The Tampa Theatre is at 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa.

Slippery On Ice, Without Brakes

Picture it: motorcycles with more than 2,000 studs in the tires for traction on ice, going from zero to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds - and no brakes.

That's what will be happening at 5 p.m. when Xtreme International Ice Racing takes over the St. Pete Times Forum. Riders from all over the world will participate.

Celtic Music With A Zing

The Muses will perform Celtic music at 2 p.m. at SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. Wander, Ponder And Prune

Master gardeners Beth Alence and Becky Ellis will talk about pruning during the "Wander, Ponder and Prune" discussion at 7 p.m. at the Riverview Library, 10509 Riverview Drive, Riverview.

Their presentation will include an A-to-Z guide on pruning perennials, shrubs and small trees.
