RUSKIN - Knowledge is Power, a program promoting a healthy lifestyle, will be presented at the SouthShore Regional Library Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Knowledge is Power provides cancer awareness education and wellness tips and works to unite communities and empower Florida residents to take ownership of their health.
The event, presented by the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, includes health workshops and vision, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes screenings provided by the Alzheimer and the American Stroke associations.
Zumba, musical entertainment and a kids' game zone will be part of the day's festivities.
The program is cosponsored by the Friends of the SouthShore Regional Library and Moffitt cancer center.
