Buy A Ticket, Help East Bay Chorus Get To Philly

GIBSONTON - How about starting off the new year with a three-day, two-night stay at Little Harbor, a half-day of charter boat fishing or dinner for four at the Ybor Grille?

Such prizes are being are being offered to raise money for the East Bay High School Chorus at Little Harbor starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 21. A drawing will take place in the banquet room across from the Sunset Grill at 611 Destiny Drive in Ruskin.

"Little Harbor generously donated the room and stay package," said Bill Sobrito, drawing organizer and chorus booster. "And 10 other area businesses offered other great prizes for us to raise funds for our chorus students to make their annual trip to compete with other groups across the country."

Available for $1 apiece or 6 for $5, tickets are available from any chorus member or at any of the following locations:

•MiraBay, 205 Manns Harbor Drive, Apollo Beach Chorus members will sing from 7 to 7:45 p.m., when the drawing is over. Participants need not be present to win. Procrastinators may buy tickets at the event from 6 to 7 p.m.

All proceeds will be used to cover the students' travel expenses to Philadelphia at the end of May. In addition to the competition, chorus members will visit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and other sights of the city.
