Photo Program Taking Reservations
GIBSONTON - A new session of 4-H Photography Kids taught by Laura Iuzzolino will begin in early February. The class is limited to six students ages 10 to 16.
The current group's curriculum includes lighting, shutter speed and picture composition. The students photographed landscapes at Hillsborough River State Park, which helped "open their eyes to the beauty the land has to offer and tell the story in photos," Iuzzolino said. The students also are scheduled to photograph Ybor City's alleyways.
Their photographs will be exhibited and judged at the Florida State Fair, "which is most exciting, since some of the pictures are quite good," Iuzzolino said.
Soon, 4-H Photography Kids will have a classroom/darkroom where they can learn to develop film. Iuzzolino believes hands-on control of images will increase their understanding of the basics of photography.
Reservations for the upcoming class may be made by contacting Iuzzolino at liuzzolino@verizon.net.
