Fun For Seniors
The Senior Connection is sponsoring a free Senior Fun Fest at the Florida State Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Thursday. More than 250 exhibitors and vendors will be on hand, and the event will include health screenings, bingo games, prizes and giveaways. A "Grandkids are the Greatest" photo contest promises to be one of the highlights, as well as performances by American Bandstand recording artists Mary Swan and Marti Carroll.

Dancing Stars Come To Town
Dancers Edyta Sliwinska, Fabien Sanchez, Lacey Schwimmer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Kym Johnson and Derek Hough will join celebrities Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Marlee Matlin and Maurice Greene when the fourth Dancing With The Stars Tour comes to the St. Pete Times Forum at 7:30 p.m.

Health Workshops
When it comes to your health, knowledge is power. So head over to the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way in Ruskin, for a free health workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Check your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels and visit workshops on breast, cervical and prostate cancers, nutrition on a budget and getting the most from your doctor's visit.
The kids can enjoy Zumba Kid's Game Zone for fun and exercise.

Competitions Galore
The Suncoast Sports Festival takes place in Expo Hall and the Sweetbay Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa. Teams from across the country will participate in boys and girls gymnastics, cheerleading, karate, Tae Kwon Do and dance.
Event times are 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
One-day admission costs $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 5 to 18. Weekend passes cost $17 for adults and $13 for children. Parking is $5 for cars and $10 for RVs. Visitors are asked to use the U.S. 301 entrance.

It's Puppet Time
Travel to Africa and see what happens when Anansi the spider discovers a magical rock and all the animals in the jungle find they are in for an unhappy surprise when the puppet show "Anansi And The Moss-Covered Rock" comes to the SouthShore Regional Library. The free presentations will be at 11 a.m., 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. at the library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. Revel in the beat of African drums and rhythm instruments and enjoy the story, music, masks and puppets.

Put On Your Lobster Bib
Get ready to enjoy some lobster! The Sun City Center Kiwanis Club will sponsor its annual Lobster Dinner Fest beginning at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd. The dinner will include sides, drinks and entertainment.
