The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, in conjuntion with several other law enforcement agencies, will target drunk drivers in southern Hillsborough over the Fourth of July weekend.
The effort is part of Operation 3D, a public awareness plan that is designed to enhance the HCSO's ability to deal with problems commonly associated with motorists who drink and drive. It will also serve to encourage voluntary compliance of existing traffic laws by motorists.
From July 3 at 10 p.m. to July 4 at 5 a.m., the HCSO will have a Check Point and Saturation patrol in South Shore. A Blood Alchol Truck unit and a remote booking transport will be present at 5408 State Road 674, Wimauma.
