Charity Wrestling Event Scheduled For Saturday

GIBSONTON - Some heavy hitters will head here Saturday for a wrestling extravaganza to benefit local charities.

The Stars of Florida Championship Wrestling will appear at 7:30 p.m. for 10 matches at the International Independent Showmen's Association Event Center at 6915 Riverview Drive.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Promotional Director C.M. Christ said the future superstars of RAW, Smack Down and Extreme Championship Wrestling will appear at the event.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children younger than age 12 enter for $5. Advance tickets are available at the Showmen's Club.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Mary and Martha House in Ruskin for domestic violence victims and the children's wing at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Center, among other recipients.
