Bridge repairs close CR 579 lane
WIMAUMA - Motorists in southeast Hillsborough might have to deal with a slight delay until early June.
The northbound lane on a section of County Road 579 in Wimauma will be closed during daytime hours - from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. - due to bridge repairs.
Work on the stretch of road, which is less than a mile long, began April 30 and will continue until June 5.
Northbound drivers will still be able to utilize this portion of County Road 579, since construction crews will intermittently allow traffic traveling in both directions to use the southbound lane.
Hillsborough Countywide Construction Services is handling the bridge repair project.
