Amazing Rays follow 'The Amazing Race'
WIMAUMA - "'The Amazing Race' is the highlight of our week. We have race parties Sunday nights, mostly neighbors," said proud mom Ellen Kleinschmidt about the television reality game show on which her son, Brian, and his wife, Ericka Dunlap, were in fourth place after the sixth episode.
Kleinschmidt is a music specialist at Reddick Elementary.
Her students, known as the Amazing Rays, are following the race. Kleinschmidt said the kids have learned Japanese songs, played a Cambodian scarf game and now greet each other with the Japanese salutation, "konnichiwa," and a bow of respect.
She said she hopes Brian and Ericka will come to the school at the end of the show to answer all the questions her students have been asking.
