This letter is to denounce letters by Flannery and Harrington. Flannery does not live in Lake Placid long enough to even be considered a resident. So he expects to have our sheriff at his beck and call? Just maybe he could see all the good that has been done in Benton's term as sheriff of our county! As people can read in your paper, she is showing her political adversary wrong, so now comes the letters from outsiders as has been the true accounts all along. They have found over half-missing or mis-filed evidence, due of course to the person the sheriff fired; not my words but words reported in this paper. Next, is the most hideous, flagitious letter from Harrington. Comments were made of our chamber of commerce. For his information, I personally do not use any business before checking with the chamber to see if local businesses can meet my needs, and yes they have, thanks to the chamber. So, for Harrington, look up the word flagitious! As for the chamber, I will apologize for misguided political agendas. ...more
