Well, it looks like business as usual at the Hernando Today with the new editor, Chris Wessel taking over for the retiring editor, with his endorsements for county commission. To refresh your memory, the previous editor nearly ran this newspaper into the ground with his personal vendetta to attack everything and everyone in county government. Writing and editing more than 100 recipes for a cookbook that I'm doing is no easy task. In fact, it's quite a bit more intense than I had ever imagined. The more-than-occasional brain farts and writer's block are tough, and usually I can deal with those moments by distracting myself with a massive, industrial-sized roll of bubble wrap. A lawyer representing the 16-year-old boy authorities say was burned Nov. 12 when he punctured an ammonia pipeline in Riverview while looking for money, said he hopes people will "take a deep breath" and allow the boy to recover before pursuing a criminal case.
