PALM HARBOR -- A local animal shelter is taking puppies and dogs from a shelter in Georgia that experienced a range of hardships – including kennels flooded because of wet winter weather. ST. PETERSBURG Two suspected car thieves were arrested Thursday night after the car they were in, which was being chased by Pinellas County sheriff's deputies, crashed into a home in Gulfport. Joe Lewis Bradford, 20, of 4057 Ninth Ave. S., and Darryl D. Jenkins, 20, of 4702 15th Ave. S. were caught after they got out of the wrecked 2006 Saturn and ran, deputies said.
