TAMPA A woman spent her 43rd birthday in jail, accused of striking her husband in the head with a bottle and trying to throw her grandmother to the ground, police said. Lilwanda Miller Thompson was held without bail today at the Falkenburg Road Jail, records show. I disagree to some extent with your recent op-ed piece on Congressman Mahoney. Putting his sexual peccadilloes aside, Mr. Mahoney, who purports himself to be a blue dog conservative Democrat, voted in lock step with the party line of Nancy Pelosi and the rest of her far left cadre of liberal socialists. If you had researched Mr. Mahoney's voting record, you have found that he supported the billions in bailout legislation as well as just about every pork barrel project in sight. Members of the board of directors for The Sun City Center Community Association approved the Golf Course Task Force's Statements of Work at their monthly meeting Oct. 8. They then sent the task force out to gather bids on the study which may or may not be able to tell SCC what the courses are worth and what repairs need to be made to them. The results will be used by the board to evaluate the courses in case WCI - currently in Chapter 11 bankruptcy - decides to put them on the market.
